ARTIST STATEMENT

My work sits at the intersection of dance and film, where choreography evolves with both the body and the camera in mind. Through compositional and filmic techniques such as framing and editing, I explore the tension between the live and mediated body.

My choreography balances moments of virtuosity and athelticism with subtle gestures that carry emotional weight. In my process, I ask how I can use editing in both live and film contexts to reshape time, reflect inner states, and create immersive experiences that invite audiences to truly feel the vulnerability and intimacy of the performer.
